    Redskins suddenly look weak

    http://www.startribune.com/101/story/629907.html

Yes, it's the preseason. The Raiders stink, yet they are 3-0. The Colts are good, but winless -- again.

Nothing means anything. And anything can mean nothing.

With that being said, have you noticed how horrendously bad and prematurely beat up the Washington Redskins are? The same Redskins that some of us media critics already had assigned a 'W' to vs. the Vikings in the regular-season opener at FedEx Field on Sept. 11.

I'm not trying to be negative, but I still see us losing to the Redskins, even with all the problems their having.

Star running back Clinton Portis separated a shoulder eight plays into the preseason and might miss the Vikings game. Cornerback Shawn Springs is expected to miss the game because of a recent abdominal surgery. And defensive end Phillip Daniels, the team's sack leader in 2005, is out for a couple of weeks because of a sprained back.
me gusta.. that certainly wouldnt hurt our chances of winning

Well, although he's hurt right now, they have Clinton Portis who is one of the best running backs in the NFL.

The Redskins also have a great offensive line and a bunch of new WR's that will make Mark Brunell's job a lot easier. ( Brandon LLoyd, Antwan Randle El)

They're defense was one of the best in the NFL last season, and it dosen't hurt that they added Andre Carter and Adam Archuleta.

Oh, and did I mention that we are a horrible road team?

It's going to be a good game nonetheless...I just hope that our boys can be just a little bit better!

    1. Portis is probably going to miss the game against the Vikes.

    2. Their receiving corps is pretty good, but Lloyd has really underachieved and Randle El is a much better return man than he is a wide receiver. I really don't think that they overmatch or overpower our secondary.

    3. Their defense was very good last year, but we've improved too.

    4. The thing is, we USED to be a horrible road team. Under Tice, we were a horrible road team, but now with Childress at the helm I think that is going to change.

We still don't know for sure, if Clinton Portis will be playing against us on Monday Night Football.

And the only reason Brandon Lloyd has been an underacheiver is because he use to play for the 49ers. I think he will have a breakout season this year, as long as Portis is ok, because he's obviously the key to their offense.

Do you also think we will beat the Redskins?

Because if that's the case, I still disagree.

I'm not sure if we WILL be the skins, but we most certainly can beat them. The X factor in that game is clinton portis. If he plays, their running game is completely different.

    Were.
It's a new era, clean slate.
I wouldn't put the Denny/Meathead road curse on this team. The new team, thankfully, will look nothing like those teams.
