RB Green will be back with Packers

I just heard on the radio that the Packers signed Green to a 1 year deal worth between 3 and 5 million.
The best part of my day is when I get down on my knees, with my head in my hands, and thank GOD for everything he has given me.

Good for them.. He is on the downside of his career so I am sure he won't do much for them next season..

Figures, all this talk about all the names that would be cut. Seems like a lot of these guys are willing to resign for a little less, restructured deals.

A lot of these guys probably want a one year deal so they can be part of the uncapped offseason next year.

Brooks, Green, Holmes, and maybe S. Rice(?) and other big names.

Collins, heck this is just a excuse to get rid of players you don't want. Apparently GB wanted Green. Just so they don't want The Edge!

well thats good. he'll eat up some of their cap space and now we won't sign him for sure. i really didn't want him to end up in purple. he's in my mind a slightly better version of Bennett.

Hopefully green can get 100% healthy for them, so he can lose more games for them with his fumbling. Man, I have never seen a RB caugh up the ball so much.

Yeah I am glad he is back there. He would not be the answer for us at RB anyway.

Not that I wanted Green on the Vikings, but I do wish he would of hit the open market. Every other good running back out there means the Vikes might pay a little less for whoever they decide to go after ( if they do go for a running back ).

Packers re-sign Green to one-year deal

I checked the appropriate forums for threads that already contain this story so if it already exists, have at it to delete it.

GREEN BAY, Wis. (March 6, 2006) -- The Green Bay Packers have re-signed running back Ahman Green to a one-year contract.

Packers general manager Ted Thompson said that Green is making good progress after missing most of last season with a torn tendon in his right leg. He spent part of the offseason working out at the Packers' training facility.

A four-time Pro Bowler, Green had rushed for more than 1,100 yards in each of the previous five seasons for Green Bay.

Green also had issues off the field last year. He is due in court March 22 to face a misdemeanor disorderly conduct charge stemming from an argument with his wife last April.

Green had agreed to a plea-bargain deal but decided to fight the charge. He has since reconciled with his wife, Heather.

If convicted, Green faces up to 90 days in jail and a $1,000 fine.
