Re: Ravens fire Billick after disappointing year
I don't think Childress would go after him because this is Childress's kick*ss offense. And I think Billick would butt heads with Childress on different aspects of the offense. I think Bevell is more of a yes man and will do what ever Childress wants even if he disagees. It would just be easier for Childress to keep Bevell.

I completely agree, and I think this is why it will be hard for the Vikes to sign any big name offensive coordinator. Re: Ravens fire Billick after disappointing year
I would love to see the Vikes get him for all the coaching reasons but that's not important for the real reason we should hire him.
The eventual fist fight between Billick and Childress would be perfect.

Re: Ravens fire Billick after disappointing year
I've never been impressed with Billick's offense.
Sure he looked good with three great wideouts, a good running back
and an impressive offensive line, but I always gave Denny more credit for that team.
Personally I would love to see Denny come back and be our offensive coordinator.

Re: Ravens fire Billick after disappointing year
I am really surprised he stuck with the Ravens this long.
The D has declined slightly each year, and the O didn't improve, even with McNair, like they should have.
I think that Billick is a good guy, and I hope he lands on his feet with another NFL team as an assistant somewhere if he desires.

O.C of THE Minnesota Vikings perhaps? Why must you defend everything this FO does....to the point of making your self look like a yes man.

Re: Ravens fire Billick after disappointing year
I never thought he was that great of an offensive mind. We had a great year in 1998 with him as OC but really with that team he had more to work with than most OC's dream of. I was really surprised he lasted as long as he did.
