Re: Randy Moss To New England
The Raiders "pack of gum," which then became a 4th rounder, has now turned into Michael Bush.
Heisman front-runner-before-he-got-injured Michael Bush.

You're kicking a dead horse there, bro. No one here disputes that Randy took 2006 off. The argument was that he only took 2006 off, not "3 years", as has been bandied about by several folks here.
I'd say 3 years is right.
Randy Moss receiving yards
2004
767
2005
1,005
2006
553
In the fifth game, playing against the Saints, Moss was hurt on a deep pass.
The next two games he was active, but caught 0 passes.
He didn't play the following three weeks.
The next two weeks he played, but I remember him still looking pretty hurt.
So, either:
1) 49 receptions, 13 TDs, and 767 yards over 11 games is 'taking it off';
2) missing time because of a bad hamstring injury is 'taking it off';
3) pretending to pull your pants down at Lambeau is 'taking it off'; or
4) Randy didn't take it off in 2004.
In 2005, dealing with a lot of minor injuries and playing for a team with no QB and no O-line, he had 60 catches for over 1000 yards and 8 TDs.
Those are good numbers, not bad.
Just not as good as when he was on a better team and in a better condition medically.When the age of the Vikings came to a close, they must have sensed it. Probably, they gathered together one evening, slapped each other on the back and said, "Hey, good job." - Jack Handey [Deep Thoughts]

And in 2005 before his injury in week 4 or 5, he was on pace to break the single season record for yardage by a WR. He didn't start taking off until he came back from the injury."whackthepack" wrote:
