Thread: Rams-Chavous

Is it only me that thinks it sucks to see Chavous in another uniform? :cry: I realize the NFL is a business, but I don't think either one of the safeties we got in FA is worth letting Chavous go.

It sucks, but free agency has made pro sports mostly just a business for the players.

Its okay darkflood, we will do better without him, it suck losing Tank Williams though

I would take Tank Williams, and Dwight Smith over Corey Chavous anyday.. I respect your opinion though.. There is nothing wrong with Chavous, I just think with Smith being in this same system before, he will fit alot better then Chavous would have..

My point I guess is that Corey was a proven commodity, and now Tank is out and Smith got cut from another team. Not that that means anything necessarily, but if he was a good safety in ANY system, why would he be cut?

Chavous was getting a little long in the tooth and was slowing down.

Hmmmmm, now that I think about it, Rams have gotten a couple of our players in the past 2 years: Claiborne, Chavous, and Moe Williams.

Chavous would have sucked in the cover 2 IMO.

To be 100% honest I could care less.He was one of a couple players I really didnt care left.Dont get me wrong, hes a solid player and everything, but like PPE said...I really dont think he would have fit into the Cover 2 well.

dwight smith is simply a better player..not to mention smith has been an impact player for several years in the same defensive system we are currently using..losing chavous doesnt hurt this team one bit
