I'll take Johnstone back, I've always liked him.

Johnstone would be good to add depth to the DLine.
    Badger just plain out stinks.
He had just as many false starts as did Steussie and Rosenthal.

Another 'let's pick up someone elses' garbage because they might develop into pro bowlers and HOF players' thread.
    :

The first question that comes to my mind, but apparently not to the mind of some fans, is 'why were they released?'.
    ???
The second question is 'why would the Vikings need this player?'.

    ???

I enjoy reading posts wherein the author suggests exactly how someone else should spend their money.

    1. Because the Raiders defense is the least of their worries. They need cap room for offensive help.

    2. I would like to see Johnstone back here as a pass-rushing specialist again. He showed alot of speed, and was a tweener at one point... Sounds like the kind of help wee need, IMO...

The Vikings need the help of a 12 year vet DE who registered 2 sacks last year..... when there will be rookie DEs available in the draft in one week, and another much younger DE is returning from IR ?

    ???

The fact of the matter is, any competition at the position coming in to training camp will be helpful. If nothing else, having a 12 vet will help light a fire under the younger guy's asses.

You mean kind of like a lot of the players Childress has signed in the last 6 months.

Look at who they signed as new blood since mid-deason last year & ask yourself your own two questions.

They are LESS THAN 12 YEAR VETS who will be training camp fodder and tackling dummy holder-uppers.

Wait until the draft concludes and pre-season cuts are perused.
Then get back to me with your questions and comments on the quality of players the Vikings signed in this off-season.
