Re: Raiders to let Moss go at the end of the season

In the article, "Cut Moss loose" doesn't mean release or trade him...it means they're going to try and use him more.

Even as big of a Moss supporter as I am, I'm not sure I would want him back now. Our Receivers are finally starting to make things happen - as a GROUP - and bringing Randy back would only revert us to using him as a crutch.

Truth be told, I much prefer NOT having a superstar Receiver anymore. Teams who rely heavily on a single receiver are that much easier to shut down. Since we have 5 solid receivers who can go out there and make plays, Defenses can't key on any one guy.

Further, we don't have any single receiver who thinks they should have the majority of the touches. Everyone just goes out there and does their jobs. Not to say Randy ever whined about that, I'm simply saying that there is now no pressure to hit any single player...just the OPEN guy.

Moss will be in Silver and Black next season.

you always want randy moss on your team. he has been hurt this year, but before he got hurt, wow was he unstoppable or what. no doubt he is the best when 100%, but the problem is he isnt 100% all the time. he needs to work reaally really hard in the offseason to get tougher and not get hurt. then the raiders might have a chance to win a game.
    We're bringing purple back.

I would cry tears of joy if he came back to Minnesota. Purple and Gold is all he should be in, and I'd love to watch him play his entire career with us.

They definitely will not just release Moss when he still has high trade value ... I dont know if they could get a stud and a first-round pick, but they could easily get a package of picks or a good player and a second or third rounder for him if they were willing to part .... but I dont think they will part just yet.

If I were Randy, I'd want out of there. If you saw today's game you'd know what I mean. It was baaaaadddd.. and not in a good way.

Apparently we didn't get a stud and a first round for him either. We just got us a first round pick and a 7th round pick...
The best part of my day is when I get down on my knees, with my head in my hands, and thank GOD for everything he has given me.
