Asomugha to the Vikes is/was a complete pipe dream.
Elite Shutdown corners do not play for teams that run the Tampa2.
The talent these guys posses allows for the D to lock in on a
# 1 receiver and shut his ass down or to cover a 1/3 of the field.
This totally goes against the zone scheme of the Tampa2.

Very unexpected that he signed a long term deal with the Raiders, i would have expected him to want to hit the open market, if possible..

However he got paid like he should, he is the best corner in the NFL.
