put it this way..josh mccown (the QB also in the trade) took williams job at WR at one point during the season

What a horrible trade for the Raiders.

McCown is trash!!!! The guy will never ever be a quality starter. Ever.

Mike Williams needs to just become a TE. He's still young enough that he can turn his career around but he needs to do it fast.

hmm..mm..with that 4th round pick they could've had someone better then these two combine!

BMW could be converted into a TE. but remember the raiders are shopping moss, so williams is their #3

Actually thats a pretty good trade I mean one team gave us a 4th round pick just to move up a few spots. The raiders got a steal even if they don't turn out.

I guess they will start McCown over Russell? haha that plan won't last long. I predict...a game and a half. better make it a game and 1 quarter.

mike martz never liked williams that is why he never played, this guy could be a good TE and if he lost the weight he could be a good wr

The Raiders did get the better in that trade.
McCown should start and should do well considering he'll be using this season as an audition for for the rest of the league. Williams will get a fresh start and another chance to prove himself in an offense that could use a strong WR.

With that being said, and individual performances aside, the Raiders will still be at the bottom of the AFC West.

That Zach Miller pick in round two would make it unlikely for him to be a TE.
