Re:Quarterbacks most likely to succeed
I really like Mike Kafka out of Northwestern later in the draft. The main reason...he looks off the safeties and corners before his throw which I feel is a mainstay in successful NFL QBs. Most college QBs fail to do that and at the next level those safeties and corners (even linebackers) all read the QBs eyes too well to succeed. I put that above arm strength and just below accuracy. Also, looking at his film, while he doesn't have the best arm strength, he does make sure he keeps the ball away from defenders, particularly on the out routes. I think he could be a big sleeper in this draft.

Another guy I like in the draft is Levi Brown out of Troy. He is similar to Kafka in that he knows how to distract the D, but he has a stronger arm and is more of a gunslinger type. He could be a very good fit in Minny. He has very good potential IMO and knows how to keep the play alive.

Re:Quarterbacks most likely to succeed
Bradford
Tebow
Clausen
McCoy
Lefavour
There will be a QB there when we pick. Do we want one bad enough to maybe pass up a better overall player to get that (potential) QB of the future?

There is nothing in FA this year especially for us as we were in the last 8 and those that may be there just aren't any improvement on what we have. TJacks time is running out and a year under BF has not done him any good at all judging from my limited viewing in the latter part of the season, I think he will be a perennial backup. We need a starting QB as soon as we can get one and I hope we can get a guy in the draft. I don't think it will be Tebow

McCoy and the combine
However, what worries me most about McCoy is his lack of build, specifically in his lower body, where he’ll need to sustain the constant hits he’ll absorb in the NFL and not allow it to affect his ability to drive the ball. He’s listed at 6-3 and over 200 pounds, yet he doesn’t look that big on tape.Any man who afflicts the human race with ideas must be prepared to see them misunderstood. - H.L. Mencken

Re:Quarterbacks most likely to succeed
I think wether or not Favre comes back won't have that big an impact. We need a QB of the future, regardless. Even if Favre does decide to bless us with his holy taint, it will only be for one more year.
A rookie QB should sit on the bench, for at least a year, anyways.
