    What an interesting read.

I watched a few clips of this on TV last night. After reading that, I now have a completely different opinion of Cutler that what I had last night after those clips.

Last night (even though I love the kid) I thought he was a horses ass for calling out his best weapon.

The article gave me some background/insight into Marshalls off the field activities that I didn't know about as well as a few comments from Jay that weren't included in the news clips along the lines of that he had talked to him several times and had actually been up in the HC office with him a couple of times.

My opinion is that he isn't a horses ass now but a QB that seems to have tried to help a guy out even though it appears the guy doesn't want to be helped.

Marshall said last week that he realizes he has to grow up and that his freak injury was a wakeup call.

"His DUI was a wakeup call," Cutler retorted. "He's had many wakeup calls. I mean, he's been in (coach Mike) Shanahan's office many times. I've been up there with him. He said the same thing: 'This is a wakeup call. This is the last thing that's going to happen. Blah blah blah.' I mean, until he goes out and proves it, we'll see what happen
    Wow.
    Strong words.
I actually like that Cutler is taking this stand.

It is the right thing to do.
Stop coddling these guys behind closed doors.

It just wreaks of more than horseplay.
You can't hang a guy out like that over an accident.
There has to be more to it.

The ripping should have started after the DUI.
It probably did in coach's office, where it should have, during the middle of the season.

I respect Cutler for doing this.
He is in the position to be THE leader before this WR really starts to emerge.
    WRs are head cases.
    LOL!

Mar, it is my guess that the TV clips were just showing the finger pointing?

Pretty much the same old shabby reporting you see from ESPN.

Pretty much just him calling Marshall out kindof stuff with none of the background, to include that he had talked to him about the new incident.

I find myself watching NFLN more and more for my football fix.

Usually it is the paper that leaves out content.
This is backwards from the norm

So do I...shows he's growing as a leader of his team.

Teams can't afford to have so much tied up in a player only to have him become ineligible for off-the-field infractions. The Bengals are learning this the hard way.
