I seriously don't get why everyone thinks that Childress is giving up on Jackson so fast, wasn't there a sign in Winter park that had a pic of Jackson with the caption "future of the vikings"? Sure he looked rough in the games that he started, but I don't think that shocked anyone, he is still a work in progress.

Yeah I dont know why either.
When they trade up to get Jackson in the second round last year, I would believe he is the guy Childress wants in there.
But then again if he saw Quinn as an upgrade and he is available, we could take him if we didnt have our eyes on someone else.

People outside the Vikings community don't know about TJ as much as viking fans might.
They just know that he was a 2nd round no namer from a no name school that stunk it up in his couple games he played.
Many of us around here know of TJ's upsides and have read and heard Childress' optimistic talk of him so we are willing to give him a break.
I am sure a lot of people outside of the division still have never heard of Jackson.

I agree...we need to see what TJack can do before we press the panic button...and get him some talented WRs to throw the ball to!!!

If Adrian Peterson is on the board at 7 we would take him, and if he isn't and we can't trade down then we would take a DE in my opinion.

True of other fans, but that doesn't explain why so many "experts" who study football all day still have us picking him...even after they have "analyzed" us
