that means any Vikings that get voted in won't be playing.

    AP can't win MVP again.
    We're bringing purple back.

I will never understand why the Pro Bowl voting starts so early in the year, IMO start picking players right after the last game of the regular season. How many players make it in after burning it up for a few weeks before blowing out when it comes to the crunch? Prime example (and I really hope history doesn't repeat it's self) Favre last year.

Every other sport has their all-star game based on the first half of the season. The NFL really is no different in this aspect.

I agree that it should not end voting until week 14 or so though.

The NFL is the only American sport I follow so please excuse my ignorance.
;D I do know however that a great deal of the players get voted in due to media bias/past reputation/fan base/tv coverage so I don't really take it too seriously.

I agree. There definitely are a handful that get in that shouldn't be there.

As a whole though ... I think about 90-95 % of the guys that make it deserve to be there. Remember ... the fan vote only counts 1/3 (I think) for this one.

The only thing I think of when I hear probowl is Sean Taylor kicker some punter ass on the field.
RIP Sean :'( You were the defensive equal of AD.

    Violence, sex, and drugs.
The only way you are going to make this game more appealing to the public than it was before is if there are on field orgies at halftime and the domes become massive opium dens."

Considering they spelled Leber's name wrong I don't think this is his year. :'(
I voted heavy on the purple and former purple, all other things equal I voted for guys whose first and last name started with the same letter.
It just seems more soothing to the ears, which is my tie-breaking criteria in political elections when I don't know anything about either opponent.
