    Jason Short.
He used to be our special teams beast.
    Kept delivering hits like that.
I think he's with the Browns now.
I though you guys would appreciate a solid hit on any random Lions player.

Forgot to add, about Peterson.... I think everyone will be shocked if he doesn't turn into a solid runner with the ball in his hands.
But, what you want to watch for are how well he does catching the ball out of the backfield and, almost as important as running, how does he do in blocking and picking up blitz assignments.
If Chilly is really installing an offense like Andy Reid's, RBs that can't block don't see the field much.
Do you go to other sites to tell people shit they already know? Or are we just the chosen ones?
Some of your questions are already answered.
Peterson catches very well. And only a dunce would think a back that can't pick up the blitz or block is a prize.
Only an idiot would think Peterson wont "see much field".
    Have a good season.
What takes a quarterback to the next level is not arm strength or mobility or any of that stuff. Its the ability to play on critical downs. Manage third downs, or red zones or four-minute or two-minute situations"

The Preseason isnt a very good indication on how well a team is going to do during the regular season and its only been one game and i definetaly dont wanna jump to anything but i like the way T-jack and AD played the defense also looked phenomonal but it also looked like the same thing as last year with the exception of the pass defense which looked very sharp if Tarvaris plays well and the majority of the essential players stay Healthy i say that the NFC North will look like

    Chicago Bears 11-5
    Detriot Lions

    9-7
    Minnesota Vikings 7-9
    Green Bay Packers 6-10

Don't we play the Iggles this year !?

So, we don't need to speculate, we can actually see what happens.

By the way, to answer your questions, these are my honest opinions:

    - Tarvaris won't develop into an NFL QB.
    - Adrian Peterson will be very good as soon as he learns to synch his cuts with his blockers (like Reggie Bush, this might happen in week 11 or so)
    - We will have one really good receiver out of the corps we have.
    - Our defense wil be a top-5 defense.

    - We will spank the Iggles !!!

    Yes.

    3 NFL Championships, actually.

    Oh, I will.
They may be over rated, we have lots of question marks, too.
But I'm not going to act like a 12-year old girl and whine about it like a certain Vikings fan.

    No.
I actually enjoy talking football, not trash.
And here's where you're completely missing the point.
    I wrote up a brief outsider's (non-Vikings fan) view.
I'll be the first to admit, I know far less about your team than the posters on here.
    So, enlighten me.
The other posters (COJOMAY, Formo, StillPurple, and Marrdro among others) responded with answers that made sense, a bit of light hearted ribbing, and some really funny stuff (e.g. We will spank the Iggles !!! -
;D - now that's some good humor right there) .

Thank you for playing, but the above does not qualify.
It does, however, belong in the trash bin along with your Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles lunchbox and blankie.

    Re: Predicting the NFL Season....

I still find the season too far off to predict, it’s nice to see TJ progressing but he and many others on the team are still young, even Childress is looking like he is growing and I'm (guardedly) optimistic ( I was really getting excited last year ). After the first week of preseason my biggest concerns looks to be Rex Grossman and Brett Favre………. what if they get hurt or benched?
Their backups are looking better than them and that could cause us some grief.

But I can safely say the Lions “are who we know they are” and they will have another high draft choice next year and Matt can pick another receiver again.

I just want Favre to stick around for one game against us.
Ole Ray Ray will jack him up to be sure
    ;D

    As for the Lions.
They scare me more than the Bears or Packers, remembering of course our weakness on D last year was stopping the passsssssss.
Hope thats fixed this year cause.........

Jon Kitna was 3-for-5 for 52 yards
    J.T. O'Sullivan was 12-of-19 for 225 yards.
Orlovsky was 15 of 23 passes for 220 yards.

    Against the Bengals.

Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v343/josdin00/Vikings/Marrdro_sig.jpg
