Updating ongoing reports, Howard Bryant, of the Washington Post, reports Washington Redskins RB Clinton Portis (hand) will likely miss about a month of action. However, there is a chance he could also miss the remainder of the season. Portis suffered an injury to the fourth metacarpal bone in his right hand, which will require screws to repair. He could have surgery as early as Monday, Nov. 13.

I would say he's out for the rest of the year.
When your a RB, you need your hands for some reason.

So do the Skins play the BORES next week...it seems that the week before their next game, their opponent almost always loses their best player to injury...making the BORES schedule even EASIER than it already IS!
