KIRKLAND – Seattle Seahawks receiver Nate Burleson has a new contract. It’s the one he expected to sign all along, before poison pills turned the Seahawks and Minnesota Vikings into sworn enemies.

Re: Poison pill goes down easy

Burleson received a $4 million signing bonus and $1.25 million base salary last season. He gets $2.75 million in salary this season, followed by $3.25 million in 2008, 2009 and the voidable 2010 season.

I seriously thought after the bad season Nate had last year they might not bring him back.

I like Nate and I hope he turns it around but he has had 2 really bad season in a row.

    2005 Vikings
    30 receptions
    328 yards

    1 TD

    2006 Seattle
    18 receptions

    192 yards

    2 TD's

I don't know if I would pay him 3 million a year for that production.

What we've got here is failure to communicate.
