Plans to retire Fav-re's Jersey on hold

    http://www.profootballtalk.com/2008/07/24/plans-to-retire-favres-jersey-on-hold/

PLANS TO RETIRE FAVRE’S JERSEY ON HOLD

Packers president Mark Murphy announced moments ago at a press conference held in conjunction with the team’s annual shareholders meeting that plans to retire Brett Favre’s jersey are now on hold.

    ...

[M]aybe the Packers are just pissed off at him for creating such a mess and they’re going to wait a few years before setting aside his number.
It’s not like they’re going to issue it to someone else in the interim.

    So no half-time show now?
oh dear sounds like GB will have find something that isn't sheep related on for the fans to watch. Maybe a ritual burning of #4 jerseys?
then again that will go against the global warming treaty with that many going up in flames
    ;D

But there is no way that they could make it in the media production that it could be if he was retiring.
