It used to be that trading up was only a positive for the person trading up, since they obviously had an earlier pick and a better chance at getting what is presumed to be a better player.
The team trading the higher pick would only have more picks in lower spots to gain.
Well now, trading down is a MUCH more alluring concept since now the team moving down does not have to pay such a ridiculously inflated salary to a rookie.
I can see why many teams would love to trade down, since the draft is ultimately a crapshoot and obviously on the open market, guys like Alex Smith would not be worth upper tier money.

I could see the Vikings moving up, if there's a player who fits their mold.
Supposedly, from what I've read on Sporting News, there are quite a few teams in this draft who are looking to move down.
They weren't named unfortunately.
I'm very curious to see who is going to move around the board come next Saturday.
I'm hoping we could move up and land a top OT or DE while not giving up too much (this is a very deep draft for talent at many positions we would like to shore up).
