Re: Peyton Manning has surgery - Could miss Vikings home opener

    6 weeks?

Does the writer not know how to do math?

The season opener is 8 weeks away. The Vikings game 9 weeks.

Sure there could be a setback, but as of now, the author is trying to make a story out of nothing.

The author did stress the word could miss the opener.

Not much to write about this time of year.
I actually enjoyed reading it simply because it wasn't Favre related.
Hell, I'd give props to any writer leaving that subject alone at the moment.

Peyton is second only to Brett for consecutive starts by a QB isn't he? I don't see him missing a start unless he becomes re-infected. He is a pocket passer and only needs to move within the pocket, so he'd have to be pretty hurting not to play.
    Exactly.
I don't see him missing a game either.

Plus, if we beat the Colts, I want to do it with Peyton behind center
I don't care who is under center.
If we beat the Colts and they don't have Peyton, it will in no way cheapen the win for me.
    A win is a win.
All that matters is how it affects you in TFWPP.

    My thoughts exactly.
There could be a setback but anything could happen. Based on the facts there is no reason to believe he won't be ready. Why doesn't he just say, there is a chance Tom Brady is going to miss the entire season. Sure none of the evidence points to that but it "could" happen.

He'll come back against us and throw for 500 yards.

    That's how it always happens.
