You gotta feel bad for A. Blank after his comments and solid backing for Petrino on MNF...
But again who cares?

I don't necessarily blame him.

He already has one losing season with a mediocre/bad team. He will need to draft a quarterback this year and pray to the good Lord that he can develop and develop quickly. If not, he is up shit creek in 1 to 2 years.

Why not leave and go to the SEC where he knows he can get good recruits and be back in the college game again? College is preferable to the NFL, IMO. Sure, it's not the "big" show, but as a college coach you get paid really well, you get all sorts of perks and you are a freaking celebrity everywhere you go in that state.

He was interviewed yesterday during MNF. He said he was standing behind Petrino, and he touted Petrino as a reason to believe in the future of the Atlanta Falcons.

DeAngelo Hall was just interviewed on NFL Network. He said Petrino was basically a cold, clueless guy.

Let's face it. Petrino was in over his head in the NFL. He and the Falcons are both better off with him at Arkansas.
Too bad. I like seeing the Falcons do badly.
