Re: Peter King's NFL power rankings
Last year he had The Vikings at #7, Pittsburgh at #12, and Arizona at #21
Just thought this was a good read but I don't take it personally.Skol Vikings! Go Cubs!

Because Peter King is a hack.Interesting read My Sexy Little Pixie.
Been snooping around some sites and I believe Dallas is a bit overated.
Sure wouldn't put them as high as they are here.
He does write for SI.
Biggest collection of hacks east of the Star Trib and Pioneer Press if you ask me.
;D
their defense is still suspect and a year older!

They are another team I have been following lately.I think that Indianapolis is really high. They're on the decline in my eyes and have no capable back-ups behind most of their starters.
Chicago, I'm not going into. Apparently the most hyped team is the best one or something, because I can't come up with any other logical analysis.
I think that the Texans are way to high there aswell. Steve Slaton is great, but what do they really have over lets say the Vikings or Packers? Most things about them are very mediocre.
A few interesting articles out there to chew on (one from the roster and one from the FO perspective) that could have some impact......

By the way, I think they will struggle a bit at first as well but hey, they have Peyton and we saw that even Gruden could win with a Dungy team after he was gone for a short time.
;DMany many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.

they will make the playoffs again.. i dont' see the drop off bc of the coach.. i see the drop off bc of the lack of talent on the team... Peyton is good, but vastly overrated when it comes to playoff football..."Rockmolder" wrote:

Re: Peter King's NFL power rankings
I agree with 1 and 2 ... and arguably 3 ... but having the Bears ahead of the Eagles? I think that is way off. Did he not watch the Bears horrid defensive play last season?
I just don't think the Bears are going to be that good and I think that Cutler is actually going to struggle quite a bit against some of the defenses in this division (ours in particular). Cutler got to play the Raiders, Chiefs and Chargers twice last year (all average teams and the number 27, 31 and 25 defenses respectively) and put up great numbers, but really most any QB would against those squads (Chargers were 31st against the pass, Chiefs 28th and Raiders 10th). I just don't see him doing the same thing to our defense or the Packers for that matter.
Forte is an absolute stud though ... I am not going to deny that or the fact that this kind of RB is a weapon that Cutler has not had, especially one that can catch. But he will not have Brandon Marshall ... and trust me ... it will make a difference.

Great comment on the talent, however, I think they still have enough to win but not sure how long that will be the case as per the second article."Marrdro" wrote:
