Re: Pep to start vs. old team
oh gawd, do i miss pep.
i still see a top5 qb in him.
things go any more sour for us
at qb this year, maybe childress
will call pep and tell him how sorry he is
and to come home after his 1 year contract is up haha
i wish =]
i know most of u arent big pep fans, i read the anti-pep posts all the times
but pep just fell into a shitty situation in his career, he coulda done so much more
possibly stilll can.
i hate the idea of dieing before another winning season

Re: Pep to start vs. old team
HE also maybe the starter when Oakland rolls in this season. So it could happend he may have to face The DEFENSE.

Re: Pep to start vs. old team
I neither liked or disliked him when he was here.
Carter, Reed, and Moss made him better than he is IMHO.
What cemented my attitude about him was the way he did the organization which lead to his moving on.
Very unproffessional IMHO.
As far as would he help us out?
Doubt it.
We need a guy that can make quick decisions on this team and he couldn't.
Heck most times the OC had to limit his reads to one side of the field.
Again, the WR's made him better than he really was when he was here.

Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.

Re: Pep to start vs. old team
Let me just join in on the choir.
I have no problem with Daunte getting the start for Oakland, I think he might deserve another chance.
When he were with us I did have high hopes for him, and liked seeing him throw bombs, and make drives down the field.
However, along with many others here I suspect, I lost a lot of respect for him in the way he left the team.
I will grant that Childress could, maybe, have handled the situation better at some points, but the blame for the break were on Pep. Remember that the first thing Chilly said when he got in were that he thought that Pep could run his offense well, and he wanted him in to give him an early look at the playbook and evaluate his rehab. Something Pep denied.
Relate it to how Chilly talks about our current injuries: 'I'm not sure whether x player will play on Sunday, I like to see him when we suit up for practice Wednesday to see how he handles himself on the field. Not that strange he would like to see Daunte's status with his own eyes.
It's clear in my mind that Pep wanted out, he is a Florida guy and it were his dream to play for the Dolphins, so he stacked the cards to make it happen.
It backfired on him, but I'm not going to sit here and laugh at him because of that. What's done is done, I hope he finds his feet again in the league, but I never see him returning to Minnesota.
Thanks to PPE for the sig.

When are you going to realize that picking out the 20 bad throws this year and ignoring the 300 good ones does not make your point?

Pep will fold, he doesn't have the mind set to be a top 5 QB.
He also doesn't have Moss.
