Blaylock and Johnson do not prove your point ... Holmes is a stud hands down and if it was not for your other posts that make more sense I would think you don't have any clue. Noone finds the endzone like Holmes and neither one of those other backs can catch out of the backfield.I think Jordan will be solid. Priest is not as good as people make out. Playing for K.C. is like playing in Denver. Any running back will be good. I think Larry Johnson and Derrick Blaylock prove my point. Don't get me wrong, Priest is good, but he's not E. James or L. Tomlinson. I know his numbers speak a lot, but a lot of the credit goes to the K.C. system and their offensive line. I could run through some of the holes that line creates.
Holmes is as good a back as there is in the league. Sure there are other studs (LT, Alexander, James, etc.), but to really say any is much better than another is tough.
As for Jordan ... this guy is a great runner who will be very solid in the offense in Raider Nation. I think it will be easy for him to rack up 1,200 yards and 8-12 TDs with that team.

Re: People think Lamont Jordan is the next Priest Holmes....why?
By the way, Jordan has always played timid since leaving college. He has not been a tank since college and tries to find holes instead of making his own.
That said, I think he is ready to step up to the plate (as stated in a previous post) and will be a fine addition, but he is still far from being an "elite" back and will get no whiff of the pro bowl.
And Smooty c'mon, he is at least better than Barf-low in SF ...

I never said he wasn't. I said he is an average back and will show it this year, behind a bad O-line. I never even mentioned barlow.

Re: People think Lamont Jordan is the next Priest Holmes....why?
There are some "fantasy experts" that put him in the Top 15 (of all players!)....thats just why I'm wondering....seems like quite a risk for someone who nobody has seen take more than 50 handoffs a year at most....too much speculation....I was just wondering why many predict that he will be like, breakout RB of the year? Thats all.....cuz I don't see it happenin'!

Re: People think Lamont Jordan is the next Priest Holmes....why?
I guess most people are citing the acquisition of Moss as the reason. They think just because everyone will have to play with 2 safeties deep the opposing D's won't be able to stop the run. I disagree because I really don't see the Raiders O-line being able to stop the front 7 of a lot of teams.
