    Re: Pats cut Reche Caldwell

    He is a good WR.
If the Vikings did pick him up (I doubt they will) they would probably cut a lineman to make room.
I don't think any of the current WRs on the team would lose their job however someone (such as TWill) would lose playing time.

I would like to keep what we have and try to make them work. IMHO By adding new people now we would stand a chance of changing the chemistry the team should be developing and that could potentially set us back more than it gains for us. We have the talent that the coaching staff wants, now it is time to put it together and win some games.

I like this guy. It works out one year earlier to my 08 plans as I had posted earlier. It was locked so I couldnt respond but thanks Jesse JamesI was about to say something like that. He was a number one to Tom Brady and like skum said
He had 61 receptions and 760 yards last year in an offense that spread the ball around very much, i think he did pretty good - leading the team in both.
He is an acceptional receiver that can step up on our offense as a starter on our receiver corp to make guys like Wade, Williamson, and Rice look a whole lot better. I think he would be a great addition in many ways for our offense.

I am in favor of picking this guy up.
    Who would you cut?
hmmm. If it was anyone anyone Ronyell Whitaker. Keep Winfeild with Griffin and McCauley and Gordan as backups is good solid depth at CB.
Plus that guy sucks. I really wish we would have kept Edwards and cut this guy .

If they were to sign him, Jayme Mitchell should be cut.

But who says we wanna sign him.

I have yet to hear the argument the we have a solid group of WRs.

I do like the chemistry idea.
At some point you need to circle the wagons and just play with the guys you have.

I have no dislike for Caldwell.

The downer is that he is the 5th or 6th best WR on the Pats. That doesn't look good on a CV or resume.

"Who do we cut" is another really important question for any thread that comes up about acquiring new players.

The sad part is what may be the 5th or 6th best WR on the Pats may be the best or 2nd best on the Vikings.
Let's face it, losing out to Moss, Stallworth, Welker, Washington, and Gaffney doesn't make you a bad WR.
