Re: Patriots Report: Memorial Day News and Notes - Randy Missing Minnesota?
According to the St. Paul Pioneer Press, former Viking Randy Moss revealed that he was still disappointed that the Vikings traded him to Oakland two years ago. The interview, part of NBA star Stephon Marbury's talk show on FSN North, aired last week.
"I still don't know why I got traded from Minnesota," Moss said. "I was hurt. I wanted to be a Minnesota Viking. I really thought I was going to retire a Viking. ... I felt, if you took a chance on me, there's something you like about me."
Although, I would question his (Moss) motivations, I often wonder the same thing.
I'm just glad he's no longer a Raider.

Well, I guess that I had hoped that MOSS would retire a Viking as well.
Of course; supposed "ATTITUDE" issues caused us to trade him.
Now we have a whole bunch of stand up guys that can't catch or score a touchdown!
MAKES SENSE TO ME.
:'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(
??? :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(God Bless America, & the MINNESOTA VIKINGS!!!

That would be sad for someone that was on track to shatter all of JERRY RICE'S records

I wasn't 100% mad about the Moss trade, but it pisses me off that Red traded him.
Who knows, maybe Zygi or a new coach could have gotten more out of him?

zygi specifically said that he wanted moss on the vikings before he bought the team..i honestly believe mccombs made the trade to screw over the team and all of its fans

He made money. Yet everyone still, thinks Moss was traded because he FAKED mooning GB and Joe Buck and a lot of others over reacted, Took a meter reader for a little ride on his hood(that one was bad), walked off the field with 2 seconds left, or admitted to smoking pot in the offseason.
His trade was about money!

Pending NFL approval, McCombs will sell the Vikings for $625 million to a group headed by Arizona businessman Reggie Fowler. By dealing Moss, McCombs clears the remaining four years and $36.5 million owed to Moss -- Harris will make about $541,000 in 2005 while Moss is due $7.25 million -- while providing Fowler a chance to start fresh without Moss' antics.
