GREEN BAY, Wis. -- The Green Bay Packers made a long-term commitment to quarterback Aaron Rodgers on Friday, signing the first-year starter to a contract extension through 2014.
The team announced the extension after practice Friday afternoon, when Rodgers signed the paperwork. The deal is worth $65 million over six years, with $20 million guaranteed, a league source told NFL Network's Adam Schefter.

Seems early to me, but he has looked pretty good so far. I would be really impressed if he makes it through the season without missing a game, but I doubt he will. Time will tell if it was the right move.

He looks pretty good. Might never be great, but GOOD is hard enough to come by these days.

Way too early but he looks decent. Better than anything we have had is the past how many years.

I would take him right now over anything we have, or anything coming out in college, or possibly even any free agent available at the end of this year (not sure what the free agent list is)

I'll tell you how good he has looked.
He has looked good enough to shut the big yaps of the Lord-Favre lovers for the most part.
I would think that if nothing else, you purplefolk would surely appreciate just how impressive that concept is.

Hell, he is far better at this point in his career than farve was. He takes better care of the ball and his accuracy on most passes looks better, although Brett had a better deep throw. But maybe not by much.
