    Packers' OL down for count?

    KFFL
Packers | Barry’s injury appears to be serious
    Mon, 22 May 2006 05:24:55 -0700

Rob Demovsky, of PackersNews.com, reports the injury suffered by Green Bay Packers OL Kevin Barry (quad) appears to be serious. Packers' head coach Mike McCarthy called it a quad injury, which could include a ruptured quadriceps tendon. Barry fell to the ground at the end of the one-on-one pass blocking drill and clutched his left knee, which would indicate the injury is closer to the tendon than the muscle. "From what I understand, it's pretty serious," Packers OC Scott Wells said. The team's medical staff was evaluating Barry after practice. If he sustained a torn quadriceps tendon, he would miss the entire season. Barry came into 2006 with a legitimate chance to compete for one of the two starting guard positions.

I hate seeing injuries. But the good news means that Far-ve will just be on his back that much more now...

It's a shame the guy's injured, even if he does play for the Packers.

hopefully its not serious, its one thing to go down during the season, another to go down during practice, either way it sucks. Hopefully he has a quick recovery, but I doubt i'll be thinking about him when we play the Packers

I never like to see guys even get hurt, no matter what team they play for, but hey, even better for us

wonder how many years more the packer program has been thrown back by that..

do they have any strengths? in all seriousness..

i think i remember hearing how their defense was 10th in the league last year at one time..

do they have any real strengths this year?
i m better than you, so just give up...

Exactly, you should never want to see ANYONE get hurt.

But this sucks for the Packers, Kevin Barry is their only good interior lineman.
