Packers | Offensive line porous in preseason opener
Mon, 14 Aug 2006 08:06:44 -0700
Tom Silverstein, of the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel, reports the Green Bay Packers' offensive line, which features two rookies on the starting unit, performed poorly Saturday, Aug. 12, against the San Diego Chargers. QB Brett Favre was hit five times despite only dropping back to throw seven times and the line allowed five sacks throughout the game. "We have a lot of work to do," OL Mark Tauscher said. "I didn't expect it to be crisp and run smooth, but to have as many errors and breakdowns as we did is pretty disappointing."

So here's the deal
Packers O'line suckiness = Udeze and Eraser's pressure on Favre = Fred Smoot interception returned for Touchdown at Lambeau..
And also

Actually count on Kevin and Pat to be getting all of the pressure. Tauscher and Clifton may be playing next to chumps but they're not half bad. the interior part of the line though... different story. So here's the deal

Totally agree, I would blitz the middle linebacker on almost every play.
Clifton was banged up a bit in training camp and his backup is out for the season so things can get worse for the Pack's O-line.
Favre you should have retired but thanks for coming back because it is going to be fun watching you run for your life again this year! What we've got here is failure to communicate.
