Re: Packers don't need Aaron Kampman

As I see it, it will be either near impossible that the Vikings get Kampman, or it will be quite possible.
It all depends on weather the Packers let Kampman go or not.

It's very unlikely that the Vikings can get Kampman if he stays in Green Bay. Kampman will be near impossible to trade for. Why? We all remember how much work the Packers went through NOT to watch Brett Favre end up in Minnesota (one of the conditions in the Favre-trade with the Jets was that they had to send the Packers 3 first-round picks if they dealt Favre to the Vikings)

We already own their best offensive player, and they definitely don't want to also lose their best defensive player to us. In addition, we have their former kicker, Ryan Longwell, who is one of the best placekickers in the NFL, and we had Darren Sharper.

On the other hand, I think the Vikings have a good chance to land a contract with Kampman if the Packers let him go. The Vikings have the best (THE BEST) situation for a left end. Our line has 3 Pro Bowlers out of 4 positions. We have arguably the best right end and the best defensive tackle in the NFL. Jared Allen said that the Williams Wall was one of the biggest reasons why he liked the Vikings.

To much risk with the knee injury and that should be part of the original poll too.

I think that GB will end up releasing him to cut his salary.
No team is going to give up that much for a player coming off a bad year that blew out a knee.
What we've got here is failure to communicate.
