GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) Packers coach Mike McCarthy called a hit that Raiders defensive end Derrick Burgess made on Brett Favre low and unnecessary....

LOL! Does anyone else find it ironic that when Harris hit AD low & took him out of action for two weeks the Packers & their fans say it was a clean hit (which I agree it was), but when it happens to lord Favre, they cry & call it unnecessary?

I assume now that McCarthy has made this public, the next step is for the NFL to fine Burgess $7500?
;D Oh wait, that won't come until after Madden expresses his opinion that it was a low blow.

The truth of these statements is what makes me laugh most.

Hey, he's upset because the "low blow" was on the football god. AD isn't a NFL god yet. It's all very simple once you figure it out!

The Raiders must have forgotten that players aren't allowed to touch Fav-re.

Re: Packers coach McCarthy not happy with low blow on Favre

Favre said after the game his knees and shin would be fine. He'd already battled through a bruised right elbow and separated left shoulder suffered in the loss to Dallas late last month. The three-time MVP also said he didn't think Burgess' hits were dirty.

Cmon guys this is Brett " Iron Man " Favre we're talking about here.
He can clear trailers in one leap, turn water back with his icy glance and have an admiring flock of sheep follow him everywhere.... why would a simple thing like a low tackle stop him or cause

Time spent annoying a Packer fan is never time wasted...
