Both 13-3 with a young team. Overachievers!
Both lost at home to NFC East in playoffs.
Neither did/do anything (meaningful) in free agency.

    2002 Bears= 4-12

Very true.. or the 06' Bears for that fact.. but one thing they lacked was stability at QB.. if Favre returns I think 4-12 is fairly impossible, however with Rodgers, one will have little idea until he has to play for a couple weeks straight.. it shall be an interesting season.

But with that said, I really don't think adding players just to add players will improve our changes any more.. we need an impact player at Nickel, and the Guards up front, to me there is very little in terms of high impact player at either position in FA. IMO.
I'm not hearing your point on this!
The 05 Bears were 11-5 before getting to 13-3 in 06.
The Packturds were 4-12 in 05 under Lord Fart's leadership and improved to 8-8 in 06.
I think it's very possible to see the Packturds flounder again to 4-12, just not likely considering the weakness of the rest of the division.
But please forgive me for questioning your veracity in the highlighted claim above!
As a Viking fan I wish for nothing more than to see the great and mighty cheddar head fans rooting for another 4-12 team!
That would be a perfect scenario to the majority of NFC Norht Division fans, you think? :

It was a fluke season, I'm tellin you! Next year Favre will go back to his old self and throw around 20 Ints, and both their offense and defense will not get all the breaks they got this year.
I have been saying for over 10 years that he is due for an injury and won't make it through the next season. This season I am changing my philosophy and feel he will still be playing long after my ashes are spread over my favorite hunting spot. He will never be injured and will never retire.

I wish I had changed my philosophy 10 years ago. Maybe he would have retired then ;D

    Wouldn't that be odd.

That just might guarantee a Viking's sweep next season.

The front office of the packers must be just pissed.
Favred fucked em good with this one, waiting till after free agency opened to decide to retire.
Which pretty much proves that he was pissed about the packers not going after Randy Moss.
Otherwise you think he would of let them know before the free agency opener so they could of tried to make arrangments.

IMO, the Front office has no reason to be pissed.
If they get fucked over because of this, its their own fault.
Favre has been on the verge of retiring for the past few years, so 3 years ago they should have started worrying about the future qb.
they did 2 years ago when they drafted Rogers, but they should have still looked into a backup, because obviously, Favre had no interest in helping Rogers develop.

They can still go after Trent Green, Chris Weinke, Craig Nall or Daunte Culpepper ;D

??? Craig Nall is already a backup QB there now. They re-signed him last year.

Today was a great day to be working alongside of Cheesdicks. The name Culpeper was only uttered 20 or 30 times today.

I am rather giddy over the fact that Favre waited until all the better backup FA QB's were signed before announcing his retirement. Nothing like fucking [s]your team[/s] the Packers over on the way out the door.
