Packers: Al Harris may not report for training camp
From KFFL;
Packers | Harris may not report for training camp
Tue, 20 Jun 2006 21:58:04 -0700
Rob Reischel, of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, reports Green Bay Packers CB Al Harris said Tuesday night, June 20, that he might not report for the start of training camp July 28. "It's not 100%, that's for sure," Harris said from his home in Coral Springs, Fla. "I'd like to come and do my job, but everyone's got to be fair, too. It's going to be interesting to see how it plays out."
His comments were in direct contrast to those made last month by both him and his agent, Jack Bechta. Harris is unhappy with the six-year, $18.635 million contract extension he signed in September 2004. Harris is reportedly upset with the contract the Packers signed DE Aaron Kampman to this offseason. Harris would like roughly $5 million in a two-tiered roster bonus this season. He'd also like a Pro Bowl incentive of up to $1.5 million added to his current deal.

The Pack are seriously imploding.
God I can't wait to see how badly they fail when the season starts.

Whos does this guy think he is? He wants a bigger signing bonus, and pro bowl type money.. Did this idiot even make the probowl? Just another Packer that thinks he is the best to ever play the game.. Now I imagine we will be hearing from Brett Favre from good soon regarding this matter..

I wouldn't be unhappy with a six-year, $18.635 million contract extension

Wow that is so cheap of them isn't it I bet you he has been so been busy with his other job to feed his family that he can't make training camp. Because of the measly salary he is getting. It's football its what Peewee football kids play for fun. Its not a job in many ways compared to what normal people have to do in the real world. Stop complaining. Geesh typical packer fan by whining all the time. He's probably busy with the new sheep he got.

This guy is a complete arse. They get paid so much that they have no sence of reality. It just goes to show that there is too much money involved in the NFL.
It also makes me wonder with the new salarycap if other players will do the same thing and think that they deserve a raise. If any Vikings players do this I will be the first in line to bash them.I.B.O.T. #213

Oh its going to be fun to watch the packers this year. It just keeps getting worse and worse for them. At this pace, I'd be surprised to see them go 4-12 again!

Jesus, you signed the damn contract IN 2004, TWO YEARS AGO, get over it, play it out, then ask for more money once you've earned it
be happy you're being paid for playing a sport you love, quick your god damn bitching.

Re: Packers: Al Harris may not report for training camp
he didnt say he wanted out, he said he wanted more cash, which annoys the hell out of me
there are too many cry baby spoiled sports stars these days that sign contracts then bitch about them a year or two down the road. its a game, yes its a career, but its a game, you're being paid multiple numbers greater than what you would at any other job.
play the game because you love it, because its in you, not because 1 million a year isnt enough.
take the cash and shut the fuck up
