Re:The Official Super Bowl XLIV THREAD

I didn't watch the Super Bowl game in 87, 98 or 2000 and most likely won't this year, either.

First time in a decade that I'm just not interested in the game at all. I'm pretty much avoiding everything NFL right now. Just don't want to hear how great the Saints are and all of the other media bandwagon BS. Don't really like the Colts, but I hope (and fully expect) that they'll destroy the Saints. Besides, having the Saints be the Super Bowl champs would suck since the better team is sitting at home.

I'm not watching it. Too painful (even though I disconnected myself from the game prior to the game).

But I'm hoping the Colts put it to the Aints.

I cheer for the Colts. I like Manning, I like the colts. They're a classy organization, who don't milk a fucking hurricane for 5 years. Everytime I hear how they're coming together this season after tragedy, I want to strangle a small animal. (not really) Their fans are MASSIVE bandwagoners. Where were they all 6 years ago when the Saints were back in the Cellar where they belonged?

It's a shame this is in the General NFL thread and not the Vikings thread. Thanks for another exciting season. Still waiting for our Super Bowl though.

I think it will be a great Super Bowl regardless. I'm probably going to root for the Saints... despite the fact that I can't stand Reggie Bush. Never before has a player been heralded so much for doing so little.
For doing so little? No-one tore up the NCAA up as much as Bush did, only to enter the league and look like a shadow of his former self.

His last year at USC he averaged almost 9 yds a carry and his average touchdown was almost 40 yards, partly because Lendale got the goal-line touches. In College the kid was a true freak.

He's heralded, yes. Over-hyped, yes. A bust, due to the ridiculous expectations, probably. But the man has accomplished more at the College level than any other player could ever dream of.
