Re:The Official Super Bowl XLIV THREAD

I will root for the saints as I alomst always do for the underdogs in SB's. I fully expect the saints to be beaten by 2 scores in this game though. if they play the way they did against us, they will be creamed. we really made their year.

No way I root for the Saints! If we had played Drew the way they took shots at Brett, they would have been on their third QB at the end of the game. If not dirty football, it was borderline.

Go Colts! Manning will disect them like a Medical Examiner on CSI.

Where were they all 6 years ago when the Saints were back in the Cellar where they belonged?
+1 The Colts don't attack QBs with the intent to injure or end a career. Fuck the Saints.

For the first time in a long time, I'm not excited about it. Hard to watch NFL anything right now...

I feel the way about Manning the way I used to feel about Favre before he joined the team, Great QB, but I don't like him. But I am Cheering for the Colts. I just can't cheer for a team whom I feel doesn't belong in the game...

+2 I would probably be going for the aints had I not found out how dirty they play. Sharper, you old POS!!! Hope the Colts dominate.

And it's pissing me off how everyone is saying all those shots to Favre were clean. Bullshit! Can you imagine if Brady or Eli were out there?

I think it will be a great Super Bowl regardless. I'm probably going to root for the Saints... despite the fact that I can't stand Reggie Bush. Never before has a player been heralded so much for doing so little.
    Disclaimer: I'm an idiot.

I'll be rooting for the Saints. The colts just won a couple years ago. The Saints have been waiting along time for this.

The Saints were founded in 1967 as an expansion team and played their home games at Tulane Stadium through the 1974 season. They went more than a decade before they managed to finish a season with a .500 record, two decades before having a winning season, and over four decades before reaching the Super Bowl. The team's first successful years were from 19871992, when the team made the playoffs four times and had winning records in the non-playoff seasons. In the 2000 season, the Saints defeated the then-defending Super Bowl champion St. Louis Rams for the team's first playoff win.
I don't think the saints are a dirty team at all. Did they try to hit Brett Favre as much as possible, yes. Did the Vikings try to do the same to Drew Brees, yes.
