...."You pay guys you don't even know, and the guys in the locker room -- the guys that have your back -- you don't give a damn about them," one player, speaking on the condition of anonymity, told The New York Daily News. "It shows where the loyalty is."...

Probably the same guy that was on the satelite radio Friday evening saying the same thing."You pay guys you don't even know, and the guys in the locker room -- the guys that have your back -- you don't give a damn about them," one player, speaking on the condition of anonymity, told The New York Daily News. "It shows where the loyalty is."
Can't remember his name but it was a OLmen.
Wonder how much more of this we will see as substandard FA's get big bucks and the stars on the teams are left in thier wake financially.
Could we see some guys protecting themselves against injury so that they gaurantee that they will be healthy enough to hit the big payday during next years FA period?
Gonna be a fun year this year.
;DMany many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.

At the time, a 10-yr vet...and deemed replaceable.
He was very vocal about how pissed off he was during the 2006 season.
Ended up with Washington.
The signing of Faneca was a complete upgrade to Kendall, sorry Pete

I don't think it was Kendall..it's a current Jet, probably Coles or Rhodes.
They've made some good moves, but Tannenbaum and Mangini have a condescending way about them. They piss off a lot of players...treated Kendall terribly. They could have had him for $1M. Instead they let him go and now they spend $32M for Faneca...definitely an upgrade, but money that could have been spent more effectively IMO.Any man who afflicts the human race with ideas must be prepared to see them misunderstood. - H.L. Like so many things, it's all a matter of timing. But IMO any player would be stupid not to play to their full potential at any time in their career. Try to play "safe" and something will jump up and bite you on the ass anyway.
