Other NFL assistant coaches expected to generate significant interest this off-season include Indianapolis assistant head coach/quarterbacks Jim Caldwell, Tennessee defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz, Tennesee offensive coordinator Norm Chow and Minnesota defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier.

I want to agree, but maybe that's just because I want Chiller out. Aww what the hell. How much worse could Frazier do?
Re: Not AGAIN!!! Why can't they go after OTHER team's coaches?
I would be nice to keep a coordinator for more than a season or two. I would love Frazier to say " thanks but no thanks
" to these offers.
Why is it that so many OC's & DC's get the calls so quickly?
I was reading Matt Blairs " To Be a Viking" today and it reminded me that Jerry Burns was an OC for 18 years before he finally got a HC spot. Nowadays it seems that a coordinator only needs one good season before they get snapped up by teams - maybe the price of the 'must win now' society mantra that now exists?

I'm not usually one to want
a change very quickly, but in the current NFL, I don't think a coach can succeed if he wants 3 to 4 years to implement his complicated system.
With free agency the way it is there is a constant turnover of players, and rookies are expected to contribute much sooner than ever before.
Dennis Green and the former tenure recognized this and was able to simplify the offense so as to help an inexperienced Daunte Culpepper succeed.
I was listening to KFAN this morning and Paul Allen had asked Chilly why AD can't get in more... In a nutshell Chilly said that AD's just not ready to fulfill all of the assignments necessary under his system.
I'm sorry, but if the "system" is so complicated that you can't put your most talented player on the field you need to change your system - adapt to the talent and ability of your players, not vice-versa.
The zone blocking system sucks - it took three potential all pro players (McKinnie, Hutch and Birk) and made them mediocre, but thats Chilly's "system".
Something's gotta change, if he can't adapt then maybe the change must be him.
It's funny that under Chilly's tenure the only effective part of the team is the defense, something that he's relatively un-involved with - while he spends all his time implementing the KAO.
It's unfortunate that we have to lose capable defensive coaches to other teams while we put up with mediocrity because Chilly's system of the KAO is unable to put points on the board.
Something has to change, and I think it's the coach.

We can only hope that Zygi takes him aside and tells him there will be an opening when the season is over.
Re: Not AGAIN!!! Why can't they go after OTHER team's coaches?
Isn't Leslie Frazier the DC that failed miserably in Cinny a couple of years ago.. now he takes over a talented group and maintains them at the same level. How does that make him a HC canidate so quickly?
Just curious?
Re: Not AGAIN!!! Why can't they go after OTHER team's coaches?
They said the same thing about Floyd Peters when we were getting rid of Burnsie and look how he panned out. Never did get a HC job.
Re: Not AGAIN!!! Why can't they go after OTHER team's coaches?
It's the price you pay for being successful I guess, hopefully it's all just speculation.
