Chargers hire Turner as head coach

It has been said in many places, but I will reiterate it here.
Turner is an incredible football mind, but he is not a coach.
Coaches need to be able to limits with their players.
Turner (like Tice) is a players' coach, and becomes their friends instead of earning their respect.
I think this is a very bad move for the Chargers...
But a good one for us since we host them in 2007. ;D
I think Turner is a decent choice for this team. They need someone who won't rock the boat at this point. They have all of the pieces in place to win a championship, so all Turner has to do is not mess anything up, IMO.

That's what I'm saying though. If you look at Oakland and Washington they pretty well sucked when he got there (otherwise they probably wouldn't be looking for a coach), so with San Diego all he has to do is not screw it up. It's not upon him to build a team or anything like that, at least not right off the bat.Quote:
