Allen Park -- The Lions' game against the St. Louis Rams at Ford Field on Sunday won't be televised locally.

The team failed to reach a sellout prior to the NFL's deadline of Thursday at 1 p.m., meaning the game will be blacked out on local television. The Lions had more than 10,000 tickets remaining Wednesday.

It's the second blackout in four home games for the Lions this season. The Sept. 27 win over Washington also wasn't televised.

Stupid Lions fans.
Only 2 games of the year that they are going to win and they can't even get close to a sellout for either of them.

I'm actually suprised that its only the second game that has been blacked out.

what a toilet bowl of a game. i wouldnt be surprised if both teams ended up wiht a loss

I wouldn't pay to see that game either.

I wonder the ratings will be for the game, might be one of the least watched NFL games ever!

Their other 2 home games (the sellouts) were for the Vikings and the Steelers.
The Steelers travel *very* well (lots of non-Pennsylvania fans because of the 70s) and the division rival.
I would expect that they will also sellout the Packer (11/26 - Turkey Day) and Bears (1/3/10) games.

Lets not forget that the Steel City isn't that far from Motor City, either.
