No Fun League strikes again
Wes Welker just scored a touchdown in the snow at Gillete Stadium.. he then layed down on his back and made a snow angel in the endzone.. the result.. 15 yard penalty on the kickoff and proberly a fine later on..
This has got to stop.. if that is excessive celebetration.. what is just "celebration".. ugh
The fans like it.. the TV companies like it.. the players like it..
Why cant Wes Welker do a snow angel?? it is bothering me..

Re: No Fun League strikes again
I dont agree with it at all, but the new rules they set up were you can celebrate as long as it doesn't involve another teammate, using the ball as a prop, or any other prop, and you aren't allowed to get on the ground, i.e Steve Smith Rowing a boat or Wes Welker making a snow angel.

Re: No Fun League strikes again
The rules are the rules. No point in making a big deal about it. He knows the rules, broke them and will gladly pay the fine. What company would like it, are his snow angels sponsored?
I don't think there is 'celebration' other then the tame stuff that doesn't get flagged. 'Excessive' is anything beyond the usual. The ribbon is the 'Gulf War Ribbon'.

You know seperation of Church and State and all.
An angel is a religious symbol, and you know we cant have that.
Now if only Welker could have made a "Nondenominational Holiday Figure"
like Larry the Cableguy talks about in his poem he woudl have been OK.

Re: No Fun League strikes again
Chris Johnson of the Titans scored and pulled and hankie out of his pants and waved it.
My thinking he is making fun of the Pitt fans and their terrible towel.
I am sure he will be fined for using a prop.
The Officials did not throw a flag.

or
"I was only taking starcaps for my heart (weight loss)."
I do think there is a difference between taunting (star standing or towel waving) and having fun (celebrating).
It is to difficult to judge it as needed on the field so they have to kick everyone in the crotch.
