FLORENCE, Ky. -- No charges will be filed against Chris Henry in an alleged assault, police said.

The 16-year-old and his family stopped cooperating with police and two other suspects were identified in the attack, Florence police said at a Friday afternoon news conference.

I wonder why the family stopped co-operating? Could be dollar signs dancing in their faces; then again, maybe the 16 year old was doing something more onerous, which the family wanted shutdown. I guess we'll never know. Unfortunately for Chris Henry, his rep precedes him, and we will suspect the worse.

Was is $$ or was it just fabricated to extort money?

A league source told News 5 after those reports had been made public that the allegations had been fabricated.

One has to wonder, especially when the assault charges against teammate Thurman in a seperate incident were dropped just a few days ago as well.
