Great article - I remember the #1 game vividly. I was exhausted after watching it - and I was only 14!

    One thing to say:
1975 NFC semis: Cowboys 17, Vikings 14 ... Hail Mary to Drew Pearson
Drew Pearson pushed off and we all know it.

    =Z=

Thanks to Josdin for the awesome sig!

That play still gets my blood boiling. '98 playoff loss to Falcons, Hail Mary to Drew Pearson, and the Kerry led 41-0 drubbing by the Jints go down as my top three most hated moments being a Vikings fan....even trumping watching them lose four Superbowls.

Don't forget the when Jim McMahon came off the bench in the second half to torch the Vikes in the Dome (wasn't that '87?), or the Favre OT TD when Cris Dishman jumped and whined about not making the pick while Antonio Freeman waltzed into the end zone.

    AAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGH!

That was the game that the ref (wrong one) was hit in the head with an empty bottle of booze. For years after that Viking's fans were saying that the refs were making bad calls against the Vikes, it might of had something to do with the boning of a ref.
What we've got here is failure to communicate.

I was alive for two of those and I hated every bit of it. The 1998 one stung wayyyyyy more and than the 2001. I had bought plane tickets and I had a Superbowl ticket for Miami. I had to sel them back the net day. Hardest day of my life

Thank you Josdin for the sig

If anything the 2004 vikes-packers game should be there. Especially since it was a huge rivalry game and the vikes were huge underdogs
