NFL Turd watch
Many thanks to the folks at PFT coining that phrase!
It appears on the heels of Pac-Man's stoooopidity and all the other thuggery going down in the NBA errrr ooppss NFL, Goodell, Upshaw, Vincent and some active players got together today to discuss a new policy. Early talk on ESPN is 3 strikes and you are out. They didnt get into specifics as to what consitutes an offense, but I like the idea. I know the NFL is big money, and the boys are making big money, but that doesnt give anyone an excuse to act like a 3rd rate thug. I pull half the stunts that some of the Bengal players alone pulled this year and I am looking for a new job.

From PFT Turd Watch;
4/6/07:
Seahawks radio analyst Warren Moon is arrested on suspicion of DUI.

I wonder which team gets the point for Moon?

http://www.profootballtalk.com/rumormill.htmWARREN MOON BUSTED FOR DUI
KIRO-TV in Seattle reports that former NFL quarterback and Hall of Famer Warren Moon was arrested on Friday, April 6 on charges of suspicion of DUI.
Moon was pulled over by the Washington State Patrol while driving in Kirkland, Washington.
He was taken to the Kirkland Police Department for a blood alcohol test.
The results of the test have not yet been disclosed.
Moon played for the Seahawks, Oilers, Vikings, and Chiefs after starting his career in the CFL.
Given that Moon currently works for the Seahawks as a radio analyst, he falls within the scope of our deliberately broad "any employee of the organization" standard for imposing Turd Watch points.
So the Seahawks get three, and the "days without an arrest" counter gets re-set from nine back to four, given that the arrest occurred on April 6.

If this was a tournament that we are keeping score for, I am going to pull a Ditka, award the Bengals all the points, and go play golf.
If they moved to L.A. crime in Cincy would drop 47%

Let's no be a bunch of sissies. If a player breaks the law they should have to deal with the law. It should be up to each individual team to decide who makes the team. The problem with 3 strike rules is that they treat all infractions the same, whether that be marijuana possession or firing a gun in a downtown location. When you consider how much time and money these players have it is amazing that so many have enough character to stay out of trouble.Many thanks to the folks at PFT coining that phrase!
