Re: NFL Schedule to be released on April 6

On Xmas the Cowboys & TO will be going to Philly. Hmmmm, wonder if the NFL did this on purpose?

Yeah, that flex schedule can get a little confusing, but the bottom line is if your team is playing a Sunday night game and it is not currently an exciting match up, it stands the chance of getting bumped down to an afternoon game. Likewise, if your team has an afternoon game and it is expected to be a great matchup, it can be bumped up to the prime time spot.

Personally I like it, and it isn't to different than the way games could be rescheduled for TV in the past. We will get at least 12 days notice, so it should affect attendance at home games too much.
From what I understood the "bump down" part of your post isn't an option. When the schedule comes out tommorow. ALL of the Sunday games after week 9 will have afternoon times. Then if your team plays well and is exciting to watch, they will have priority to be moved to a Sunday Night game. No fan will have to worry about theri teams Sunday night game being moved to an earlier time.

I like the idea, it will definetly increase sunday night ratings overall. However, what about the fan who is going to the game? It would be horrible if you flew in to see a Sunday afternoon game and planned on leaving later that night.....

I'll be keeping my fingers crossed that the 49ers game in Frisco is the same weekend the USC Trojans play at Stanford !! Two games in the same weekend would be great on the wallet.

I wonder if our games against Seattle or Miami will get attention on Sunday or Monday night? I'm interested to find out when that Seahawk game will take place.

I can't wait till tomorrow. I'm planning a trip to Chicago for the Bears game and I hope I'm not going in December (being from phoenix).

I'll be very pissed off if GB gets another three MNF games.
