Re: NFL says stadium fund has run dry

Are you sure that billion dollars was for the stadium or was it about 30 percent going to the stadium and the bulk going towards development of other retail buildings that he could capitalize on?

I say we put a state casino in the darn thing and use the proceeds from the casino to pay the mortgage.

In fact, every seat should have a video poker touch screen in front of it so when the KAO is on the field, the fans have something to actually entertain them. I think the revenue from that would be massive.

I don't remember how his billion was to be divvied up, but no matter how you slice it there has never been another owner of any franchise in any sport that has offered a billion dollars of his own coin.

There are ways to get the stadium pumped through.
Does MN still only allow casinos on reservations?

OK, I usually don't laugh at jokes at our team's expense... but that was actually kinda funny.

If I am not mistaken, Wilf was going to pony up around $280 for the stadium, and that included the G3 loan.
The rest of the money he was going to put into it was in the surrounding retail development.
Prophet is right though, there has never been another owner willing to make as big of a contribution.
