Rams' Warner may ask for trade
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that if Kurt Warner doesn't get his starting job back, he may push for a trade in the offseason. Unfortunately for Warner, the Rams don't appear to be interested in dealing him.

Panthers working on deal with Jenkins
The Charlotte Observer's Pat Yasinskas reports that the Panthers are close to signing Kris Jenkins to a contract extension. Jenkins is expected to receive a five-year deal that will pay him around $5.6 million a season.

Blank will be patient with Reeves, Falcons
Although owner Arthur Blank is unhappy with the Falcons' slow start, coach Dan Reeves' job isn't in jeopardy. Atlanta Journal-Constitution columnist Jeff Schultz writes that Blank "isn't making a move, now or any time soon".

Time for 49ers' Garcia to take a seat
San Jose Mercury News columnist Tim Kawakami thinks that it may be time for 49ers coach Dennis Erickson to give Jeff Garcia the hook. Kawakami writes that the bench could be a good spot for Garcia until he and the 49ers figure out what is wrong with him.

Jets may take a look at Bollinger
Although Herman Edwards says that Vinny Testaverde's job is safe, backup Brooks Bollinger may want to have his helmet handy. The New York Post's Mark Cannizzaro reports that Edwards may give Bollinger some playing time if the Jets continue to slide.
