The Cowboys may be ready to pull the trigger on a deal. The Fort Worth Star-Telegram's Jennifer Floyd Engel reports that the Cowboys "are discussing two possible trades".

Will Jets bench Testaverde?

Although rumors are swirling that he is about to be benched, Jets QB Vinny Testaverde isn't worried. Testaverde told the New York Post's Mark Cannizzaro that "(a)ll I can do is go out and play my best, and if it's not good enough then someone else should be in there playing".

Gannon isn't ready to take a seat

San Jose Mercury News columnist Tim Kawakami writes that Rich Gannon doesn't take kindly to suggestions that he should be benched. Gannon responded to talk that Marques Tuiasosopo should get a few snaps by asking "(w)here's the crack pipe you've been smoking?".

Playing hurt could cost Law

Ty Law is willing to play hurt even though it could end up costing him money down the road. The Providence Journal's Tom E. Curran reports that if Law performs poorly while hurt, a team could use it against him in future negotiations. Law may have to go looking for work next season if he refuses to take a pay cut.

Dolphins may replace punter
