It would be neat actually to read the article posted, rather than the first two paragraphs...
That's all you get, you cheap bastard.
Of course, being smart like I am, I was able to find the article, unblocked, so that I could read it.
    I rule, you drool.

Clever trick, post the exact same link with the same partial article.
Well, shoot - those tricky bastards.

Okay - if you do a Google News Search of "NFL Network", it's the first article linked and the full version is available to read via that method.

Yeah, when I first posted the link the entire article is there.
Just de-cookie and you can read it.

    Yeah, you're right.
How silly of me to think that the NFL demanding that ALL subscribers pay for NFLN is fair, rather than allowing the cable companies to put it on a sports tier that only sports fans will need to pay for.

    =Z=
    LOL.
I knew that would get him going.
Funny, Dish Network and Direct TV subscribers don't seem to mind.
And satellite TV is cheaper than cable where I live... ;D

    DSL.
Which is, for the record, slower than cable.
But only marginally, and it is a sacrifice I am willing to make.
Besides, most of the computers in my house are wireless, so the difference is not applicable unless I am plugged into the wall.

Okay - now add up your DSL bill and your DirectTV bill.
    How much per month?

DSL is bundled as part of my over all phone package.
The DSL part is $15 per month (1, 5 Gig up and down). Dish - $95, although I subscribe to a lot of extras.
Base price (which includes NFLN, but no HD) is $30 per month.

That is $45 for high speed DSL and satellite programming.

If I actually had DirectTV instead of Dish, it would be even cheaper, because I can bundle my phone, DSL, and DirectTV into one package through Qwest..
    But I prefer Dish instead.

So in comparison, what do you pay for highspeed and NFLN-less cable (non-HD for a valid comparison)?

    Free market capitalism.

I wish HBO was free, it isn't so I pay for it.

The NFL is the most popular sport in the US.
People that really want NFLN will pay for it.

As far as the internet where I live, DSL has been doing just as good as cable for one/third the price.
The cable company put me on a cap for a $50.00 service, screw that!

    That's exactly my point.
I'm willing to pay for it, but the NFL isn't willing to let just me and others like me pay for it.
They want ALL to pay for it, even if they don't want it.

I'd have to check my bills - but it's hard for me to tell, remembering the bill, because my "bundle" includes all the movies and stuff and isn't broken down by basic TV service like that.
