Re: NFL Network Combine Schedule and Thoughts and Observations

Tomorrow is my second favourite day at the combine. QBs, RBs, WRs.
I think of all the days, this is the day where people can make themselves the most amount of money by running fast and looking good in all the on field drills. TONS of exciting players tomorrow that need to confirm or deny their abilities to be a first round pick.

    I'M EXCITED.
    We're bringing purple back.

I was thinking so, but he measured in two inches shorter than his listed height, and Walter Jones is getting old.
They'll have a chance to get a franchise tackle to replace him, and I think that they might go in that direction.

They could pick up a tackle there, and still wind up with a good receiver in the second round since they pick so high.
Talent wasn't the issue for them last year, it was depth after all the injuries.
If they solidify the line, which helps the entire offense, and those receivers come back healthy with a talented rookie, they'll be good.

It's just a question of whether or not the 'hawks think that Crabtree is a superstar receiver or not.
I think they're in a great position, personally, and can't go wrong either way.

Re: NFL Network Combine Schedule and Thoughts and Observations

I love this time of year.
Actually watched NFLN almost all day and worked on my stuff that I will use in my warrroom during the draft.........

    Ran 4 2 round
and 1 4 round mock drafts up yesterday.
Some interesting results for who will be available based on what I know now......(what teams have released/tagged/need)........

Long story short, the following cats seem to be available with our first pick that interest me:

    Josh Freeman QB
    DJ Moore, CB
    Alphonso Smith, CB
    Brian Cushing, LB
    Peria Jerry, DT
    Lesean McCoy, RB
    Hakeem Nicks, WR
    Alex Mack, C
    Max Unger, C

Of course alot of people would like to go with the CB, or WR but for me I really like the idea of either taking one of the two C's that will probably be available or the DT and am really looking hard at Freeman

By the by, the 4 rounder has us taking the following:

    1rst
    Josh Freeman, QB
    2nd
    Darius Butler, CB
    3rd
    C Eric Wood
    4th
    DT Vance Walker

My guess is though that we will bring in a FA Vet CB from either Buffaloo (Jabari
    Greer)
or target a S from Tampa (Jermaine
Phillips) in FA so we might go with a DT candidate that is available in the second Fili Moala or Ron Brace.

Anyway, way to early to post anything, however, that is what my mocks are looking like, again, based on what I know, have heard or am thinking.
    ;D

He will drop out of top 10 for sure, but down to 22?

That would be freaking awesome if he does and we got a quarterback.
    Here's a link to that article that I posted yesterday, but not a ton of info in it;

The pages that I pay for say the fracture occured during his preps for the combine, isn't bad enough to stop him from doing his scheduled pro day and won't affect his draft status.

2 of the pages actually say he wants to do his proday early so he can have the surgery done earlier.

What are your pages saying about which QB the Vikings were interested in & interviewing yesterday

I can't imagine Crabtree sliding out of the top five, let alone top ten.

I doubt Sanchez falls to us but if Nicks is there I would love to have him. After that my pick is Alphonso Smith.
