Good gosh is Micheal Johnson a scary man. Shame about the bad tape because he is a physical specimen.

Here is an in-depth, position-by-position breakdown of the draft prospects as they prepare for the 2009 NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis.

Re: NFL Network Combine Schedule and Thoughts and Observations
I didn't love any CBs today. Good thing we don't need to draft one.

Re: NFL Network Combine Schedule and Thoughts and Observations
Thanks for the read my friend.
All three sound like a guy we could use especially if they can make the line calls.I have spoken with Mack, Max Unger, and Jonathan Luigs, and all three have called the protections, handled multiple fronts and have plenty of playing experience.
Couldn't agree more.Defensive tackle is such a position of need around the NFL that it will be critical to watch which players emerge at the combine. At least one other player will sneak into the bottom of the first round, and anyone who comes out of Indianapolis with a good height-weight-speed ratio and some solid agility in the drills will improve their stock.
These types of cats just don't come around very often and if one is available at 22 we should snatch his big pocket collapsing ass. Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.

we could go that route, but only if we lock up a RT and C in FA.... I also hear we're looking to draft a CB or sign a veteran...Thanks for the read My Sexy Little Pixie.

Combine Risers/Sliders: DBs
http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2009/football/nfl/02/24/tuesday.risers.sliders/index.htmlRisers:
Alphonso Smith/CB/Wake Forest: Smith started his combine on a positive note, measuring 5-foo-9 and getting over the psychological barrier of being a short, 5-foot-8-something cornerback which he had been branded with. He then ran well in the 40 clocking in the mid 4.4-second area. Smith went on to show why he's considered one of the most fundamentally sound defensive backs in the draft with great work in the position drills.
My boy!

Combine Risers/Sliders: QB, RB, WR
http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2009/football/nfl/02/22/risers.sliders/index.htmlSliders:
Josh Freeman/QB/Kansas State: Freeman's day can be best described as erratic. He started off slow, then picked up his passing in the middle of the practice session. Late in the practice session, Freeman's deep outs were inaccurate and all over the place. His combine performance was not terrible, but it did not cement Freeman as a first-round choice, which many are predicting.
