NFL network agrees to terms with several major cable companies

Looks like the NFLN is making strides.
I didn't see the original story.
Anyone know if they agreed to the NFLN's terms or the cable companies' terms?

The agreement is not over adding NFLN to those cable systems.
The agreement covers a week-long "freeview" of NFLN on certain cable systems which will allow the college bowl games being shown (with tonight's Texas Bowl featuring Rutgers and K-State being the one which got Senators involved) on NFLN to be seen in certain home markets.
No agreement in the long-standing dispute has been reached.
Here's a good story from the Wall Street Journal this AM:

Re: NFL network agrees to terms with several major cable companies
That's frickin great!
I had Time Warner for years and they wouldn't carry the NFL Network, they sell there Twin Cities market to Com-Cast who carries the NFL Network but is not adding it for the old Time Warner customers.
Then Time Warner finally comes to an arrangement with the NFL Network!
Frickin cable companies!

Re: NFL network agrees to terms with several major cable companies
Just get Directv.
It is way better and cheaper is some places.
Re: NFL network agrees to terms with several major cable companies
I agree.
Just get a sat (I prefer Dish myself).
IMHO if the cable companies won't pony up the dough to get the channels you want, go with someone who will.
If you are in the Twin Cities, all local channels are in HD too, so there is really no compelling reason to stick with a cable company who isn't meeting your expectations.
If anyone wants a free installation coupon for Dish Network, PM me...

I love my cable modem internet access.
That alone is worth more to me than a package of mediocre games on the NFLN.
